About 3-4 times a year I have a week where I am working longer hours and am on my feet running around helping to put on a conference.
Those days are actually super fun for me, but the long hours (12+) make it hard to want to workout afterwards, or even think about getting your training run in.
But alas, I dubbed myself The Determinator and knew with that title it could be done.
Because I was determined to do it all.
So the rock star that I am, worked a 12 hour day, played a few rounds of Bunco with the ladies, and then proceeded to run a 5k at the gym.
Yeah so, it was around 11pm when I arrived home.
It was still the sweetest feeling of victory. 🙂
And I was super proud of the fact that I worked up a sweat!
And I even foam rolled the heck out of my legs at the gym before I left. I don’t own one, so I try to roll at the gym if I can.
Needless to say, I had the best sleep I’ve had in a loooooooong time.
It just goes to show me, that there are 24 useable hours in every day. LOL – Okay that line is from my favorite movie. Any guesses?
I should add in there, that some of those unusable hours are for sleeping. 🙂
Okay Empire Records fans, I hope you got that reference. 🙂
When do you prefer to run? Early morning, late at night?
If I could run around 3 pm every day, I would be the happiest girl in the world. But that is usually not the case due to my job, so I run after work like most of the world and fight for my treadmill.
Okay, off to the conference. Your regularly scheduled Wedding Wednesday Series will resume next week.
