So after 13.5 hours of work yesterday I had only one thing on my mind, and believe it or not it was in fact…
The shred mill.
I could hear it calling my name from miles away and I knew there was no way out of it.
So before I could even sit down on my couch or find something to distract me I laced up my sneaks and headed straight for the gym.
Sometimes a good run is a tired girl’s best medicine.
I knew I wasn’t going to be running fast, but the two Red Bull’s I had consumed earlier in the day were definitely carrying me through this run.
So, I have a huge work conference going on for the next few days, which sort of messes with my marathon training schedule.
When I’m working long hours like this, it doesn’t leave much time for training.
So you squeeze it in where you can, or you literally drag yourself to the gym.
Which was what I did last night. It was nothing spectacular. Just a little 4 miler on the shred mill.
But it actually erased all the aches and pains and tiredness I felt from hustle and bustle of the work day.
It never ceases to amaze me that in my most tired state, I can actually suck it up and sweat it out and feel 1000 times better.

So in running news, it sounds like I should start planning the Dirty Dash Blogger Meet-Up 2011.
Because from the sounds of it you ALL want to come to Idaho and run in the mud with me! 🙂
I’m liking that idea very very much. And don’t worry, you don’t have to chug a beer to do this race. I forgot to mention the option to chug a root beer instead. (Not entirely sure if that sounds better or worse!)
So The Dirty Dash is like WAY on top of it. I have to give them mad props for this being their first race and already they have posted official race photos.
So I have never purchased professional race photos before, but these bad boys are rockin’!
What do you think, should I throw down some dough for these memorable pics? If so, please leave your vote on which pic is your fav in the comment section.
Okay, and please don’t ask why I have numerous pics of my with my mouth wide open. I think I was screaming because I had mud all over me. That is the only thing I can think of. LOL!
Happy Tuesday Friends!
I vote for dos and tres! Awesome pics. Bummer about working so much. I feel your pain. Have fun in McCall this weekend!
Love those shots!!! I think I love the first group shot best. I’d probably buy it for the scrapbook.
Number three gets my vote! SO CUTE!
i vote for 1 individual pic – one of the dirty ones #1 or #2 and a group pic.
The pics are great! I think you should all split on one of the group shots!
Wow, I applaud you for still getting in a run after working for 13.5 hours!
And I totally love the pictures! #1 and #3 are my favorites 🙂
HA! The second one is HILARIOUS!!! I think you should buy that one and make christmas cards out of it!!!!
LOL! love it Z!
Oh… and definately # 1 😉
HAHAH those pics are awesome! I love that they did the group ones. Smart!
13.5 hours – ick! I complain when I have to work the full 8, which is alot lately as I need the money. Also, Red Bull – ick! I can’t swallow that stuff, but I guess if it works for ya. 😉
Love the pictures…looks like tons of fun!
#2 and #3!!!
I am always surprised that working out makes me feel so much better too. It’s amazing!
Vote: #3!
Way to get yourself to the gym after working so much. I have such trouble motivating myself to work after a long day, I’m actually worried about when I graduate and work full time how I’m going to fit in workouts. During the summer when I work full time I get up early in the morning, but its SO much easier in the summer when the sun is up at 5am and I don’t think even then I could maintain that schedule long term. Yikes, I better get used to it…
Love it! #tres for sure and #dos!!
These are great! My vote goes to #3 so you can remember all the gals you ran with!
I like number 2 or 3! Awesome race shots. How fun!
